ECT: Your rights about consent to treatment (England) 
The Care Quality commission are an independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They have produced a booklet which gives information about your rights in relation to ECT if you are detained (‘sectioned’) in hospital or receive treatment as part of a community treatment order (CTO) under the Mental Health Act.

This booklet was produced by the Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland who provide information and advice to people about their rights in relation to mental health care and treatment.
